Full Backup ~8.0GB to DVD drive using DVD+RW media.

At 60% I get the the following message:

W00040011: Please insert the media marked "Volume 1".

Press Retry when ready or press Cancel to cancel the operation.

So I swap the disc to 1 of 2 and when it is finished loading I press Retry and get the following error message:

E00040012: This is not the last volume of the backup archive.

A possible reason may be poor meida quality.

Please press Retry to contine with Volume 1 or press Cancel to cancel the operation.

    What did I do wrong?

    More information...

If I do not choose Verify Data after backup, it appears to work fine.

My 2nd (out 3 attempts) worked just fine the only difference was the Verify Data after backup setting.

Is this happening when you are creating the backup?

If so, do you have in the box selected to validate the image after creating? This can be set either in the backup wizard Options Additional Settings (something like that) or the options in the Tools Options in the main menu.

If TI is told to do a validate immediately after creating the archive it has a bug such that it gets stuck in a loop. Deselect the check archive after creating option. You can manually do a validate after the archive creation is complete.

    Hello wsellars,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

Please note that as seekforever said this issue is known already. It will be fixed in the future builds\versions of a particular product. Please accept our apologies for the current inconvenience.

Please do not select to "Validate backup archive upon operation completion" in the Tools -> Options -> Additional settings if you store the image to more than on DVD discs.

    Thank you.
