    Hi,

I have installed NOD32 for File Servers (debian package) on a Debian Etch box. I am using it as a LAN update server (mirror).

When I run the update (from the web interace, or from the command line I get):

    Code:
Checking remote update packages at 'u30.eset.com'... ok
Checking local update packages in '/var/lib/esets/mirror/'... ok (34 nups found).
Local copy is up to date.
    Dump modules version information
    utilmod - installed: 1.118(1222), available: 1.118(1222)
    helper - installed: 1000(1000), available: 1000(1000)
    charon - installed: 1.009(1047), available: 1.009(1047)
Virus signature database - installed: 2932(12124), available: 2932(12124)
    Advanced heuristics - installed: 1070(1171), available: 1070(1171)
    pwscan - installed: 1.001(1012), available: 1.001(1012)
    Archive support - installed: 1067(1209), available: 1067(1209)
Your ESET Security system is already up-to-date
    Start mirror process
    Mirror process done
    Start compile process
    Compile process done
The problem is that I ran this five minutes ago (current version of the Virus signature database is 2953 (20080317) not 2932).

If I delete manually my mirror folder: "rm /var/lib/esets/mirror/*" and run update again, everything works fine:

    Code:
Checking remote update packages at 'u30.eset.com'... ok
Checking local update packages in '/var/lib/esets/mirror/'... ok (0 nups found).
    Downloading 18 file(s).
    Downloading UTILMOD0... ok
    Downloading UTILMOD1... ok
    Downloading UTILMOD2... ok
    Downloading HELPER0... ok

    Update in progress...
ESET security system has been updated succesfully
    Start mirror process
    Mirror process done
    Start compile process
    Compile process done
    and I get version 2953.

What am I doing wrong? I could run a cron job that deletes the mirror folder to force the update every X hours, but that is not the way it should be done, or is it?

    Thank you for your time...

One more thing, I don't have a proxy. The box is in a local network behind NAT. Windows LAN update server works like a charm from within the same network. I am just in the process of migrating all services to linux...
