    Hi,

    I do not manage to backup to the backup server.
    Whenever if I create a backup local or through the group server, when choosing the location to save the backup, I see the computer holding the backup server, but can not expand it or do anything else. The NEXT button stays disabled.

    Any advice??

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello rderimay,

    Thank you for your interest in Acronis Remote Disk Backup Software.

    Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

    First of all, please make sure that you use the latest build (371:cool: of the corresponding Acronis True Image version available for downloading in the Product Updates section of your account at Acronis web site.

    You can find the full version name and build number by going to Help -> About... menu in the main program window.

    To get access to updates you should create an account then log in and use your serial number to register the software.

    Please uninstall any previously installed build by following Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Acronis True Image, prior to installing build 3718.

    Note that you should update all components including Acronis Agents, Acronis Management Console and Acronis Backup Server. It is obligatory for all components to be of the same build in order to interact correctly.

    You should also create new Bootable Rescue CD after installing the update.

    Please also make sure that Acronis Backup Server is set up in accordance with section 2.1.4 of the corresponding Acronis True Image version User's Guide, i.e. all computers\users having Acronis Agents or Acronis True Image local version installed are added to the Acronis Backup Server database. Please also read section 3.5 of the above mentioned User's Guide in order to make sure that everything is done correctly. We also recommend that you make sure that Windows Firewall is set up correctly (see section 2.3.2 of the corresponding Acronis True Image version User's Guide).

    If nothing of the above helps and you still cannot access Acronis Backup Server for some reason then please try specifying the full UNC path to the desired computer in the "File name" edit box, e.g. \\server\share.

    If that does not help either then please provide us with the following information:

    - Create Windows System Information for both computer where Acronis Backup Server is installed and computer that you try to back up, i.e. computer where Acronis Agent or Acronis True Image local version is installed;

    - Make a screen shot of the corresponding Create Backup Wizard screen showing the "Next" button grayed out;

    - Let us know what exact Acronis True Image version you use;

    - Describe your network structure in detail.

    Then please submit a request for technical support. Provide the files and information collected in your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the most suitable solution as soon as possible.

    Thank you.
