This is the latest released Outpost version I'm talking about. I will get a freeze at the UAC prompt - system will go black and then have to be rebooted. My OS is Vista 64-bit. I know it happens with AntiVir Premium 9; haven't seen it with other AVs yet. Another thing I've noticed is that the UAC prompt freeze will happen after I've returned from the monitor being off as set in my Windows power settings.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried:

Fully trusting AntiVir - didn't help
    Uninstalling WebGuard - didn't help
    Training mode - didn't help

It does the same thing with Avast - return from screen saver and have UAC freezes. I'm forced to use Comodo in the meantime.

In my opinion, there is something wrong between UAC and Outpost.Maybe they two are not compatible.Only way may be that switching Outpost to other firewalls.

I might have found out the reason - there could be a problem with Outpost's "detect full screen mode" feature. I'll let them know.

Argh, still have the issue. And it happens after any good amount of time even using the computer.

For whatever it's worth, I'm also running Outpost (Pro) 2009 on Vista 64-bit Business, with Avira, and I've never experienced that problem.

If you would like to compare configurations to sort out where the trouble lies, I'd be happy to. :)
