I'm trying to download Filseclab 2.5 PE 2.5 from either one of the four links and not having any luck or success. I'm not sure if its my PC or the site itself.

Here's the link to the bottom of the page:

    http://www.filseclab.com/eng/download/downloads.htm

If you scroll to the end of the page you will see it there.

Its Filseclab Personal Firewall Standard Edition.

Filseclab 2.5 has been discontinued, only version 3.0 is available at www.filseclab.com

What makes you think that 2.5 is being discontinued. Funny how they still have it on their website.

Even if they have it, why bother when you have the newer improved one.

Although I can't name them offhand, I believe there were some substantial improvements from 2.5 to 3.0. Best stick with the newer version...

    Is Filseclab a Chinese company

Is it true that Filseclab is a Chinese company. I had a look at their website and their postal and support was in China. Is this the first Chinese company to offer security for PC's

Yes, all Chinese from mainland China where their Chinese version called X-Filter is quite popular actually as is their Twister Anti Trojan.

The filseclab also encourages their users to submit the new malware samples, which Twister Anti Trojan cannot detect. And they will receive the free serial number for doing that. But I am not sure how many samples users have to submit.

Meet the man himself, Steve Chang Chairman TrendMicro Corporation.
    interesting interview: http://tokyonewsline.com/businessline/steve_chang.html

Steve Chang was born in Taiwan, educated in the United States, and has established TrendMicro's headquarters in Tokyo's Shibuya-ku.
:D In response to the question " Why do you like doing business in Japan?"
he replied " Where else can make an appointment at 10:00 at night and get business done?" :D
