FYI, Smart Screen Filter warned on your latest version saying it wasn't commonly downloaded and could harm my computer.

    Win7 x64.

    Hello Krusty13,

    Thanks for the info.
it seems okay now, maybe because many users have updated already...

Free space cleaning is not working for me (win7 64).
Did a smart clean up, check again there was junk still there
So I did a normal cleanup Cleaned (normal cleaning) 5 hours.
Checked again and every block was red, filled with crap not written over. Worse than before!
Then used CCleaner, checked again and everything was gone like it is suppose to be!
Used O&O Defrag (wipe free space) and everything was clean.

Sent problem to support heard nothing since last Sunday. Wow,
    can anyone confirm this problem?

I recently switched to an ssd in my laptop and I found this post regarding them https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/privazer-problem.363446/#post-2435945

However I was wondering about the 'Delete without a trace' option for individual files option. I use this every day in order to bypass the recycle bin and I would like to know if this kind of usage will effect the ssd in any way. I found this info on your website:
    4- Smart overwriting
Recognition of type of storage medium of your storage device : magnetic disk, SSD, etc
Adaptation of overwriting algorithms to storage medium

Are overwriting algorithms also adapted for 'Delete without a trace'? Or does this only relate to the free space wipe as mentioned in the linked post? This is my first ssd and I've read a number of articles on optimization of ssd's and reducing write cycles etc. but if the effect of this option is likely to be minimal I will carry on working in the same way.

    TIA

    Hello guys,

    @Circuit,
we did read your email and discussed it in our team but did not reply yet.
Now it is done. Please check your email.

    @Setcho,
    thanks for asking.
    1. I would suggest you to read the conclusion of tests performed showing that modern SSD's have a huge lifespan :
      http://www.pcworld.com/article/2856052/grueling-endurance-test-blows-away-ssd-durability-fears.html

    2. yes, overwriting algorithms are also automatically adapted for the "Delete without a trace" option.
To check the overwriting algorithm and the type of medium you have (SSD, flash or magnetic),
simply click on "See advanced options" in the deletion window as shown below.

    Hope it helps.

why not put the advanced options on the 'main' screen?
would save the extra click and amke the user more aware of what the options are since there are really only a couple...

RMC option to delete files states that the MFT entry is deleted.
Is it possible to delete the USN Journal file entry and USN LogFIle also at this time,

If not possible could it be a run time option to sweep the whole USN and LogFile as (unlike MFT) they are quick.

    hello Tom / @takiabtom,
yes, we will add an option to delete USN and $LogFile entry when securely deleting a file or a directory with PrivaZer.

    Thanks for the suggestion !

we could not reproduce the issue.
What is the video file extension you still see? .divx ?
