Talked to a guy at a cookout last month. Seemed to be a nice guy, but a bit pixilated. He just LOVES computers, music downloads, all the dumb stuff.

When I asked about privacy, security, etc he didn't really get the concept, and clearly unable to learn. Besides, never any problems in years.

    How did he do it?

    1) Buys, swaps, and resells computers as a hobby; flea markets, friends, other unsophisticated geeks.
    2) Deletes and swaps HD's as a matter of course.
    3) Installs updated or downloaded OS's for potential buyers or just tests new ones for curiosity.
    4) Lives in dense neighborhoods with several open WiFi's.
    5) Often carries his latest find with him; to sell, gameplay, stay in touch, impulse download.

Not a lifestyle for most of us, I know, but a headache to profile. And maybe a few lessons to learn.
