Prevx1 is pretty good in my opinion. You can go into the options and set it to where you can watch each individual process start up. It also has a program monitor which you can use to track and monitor every event generated by an application. Good secondary av.

It's pretty good, except it's too noisy.
Security has to be quiet and has to warn you ONLY, when there is something wrong.
Prevx1 warns you also, when everything is OK and that's not good.

You probably didn't set up your Prevx to its default settings. In its most basic mode, it only alerts you when an unidentified program is executed.

Does anyone know how Prevx 1 functions as a HIPS or a behavior blocker on ABC/basic mode (if at all)? I read on castlecops wiki that its HIPS functions are only on the expert mode. I'm pretty sure thats the annoying, alert everything mode that ErikAlbert was referring it.

Unless you're in Expert mode (which is NOT meant for everyday use), prompts should be quite rare. If you are getting prompted for everything and you're not in Expert mode, I would recommend writing into support. If you are in Expert mode it is very highly recommended that you switch to Pro or ABC mode, as Expert mode is really only made for troubleshooting and testing and using it for everyday use will prove a frustrating experience since it is not made to be used that way (and effectively defeats some of Prevx1's strengths). The only other thing I can think of is if you have enabled event notification in the Preferences. This can be used for everyday use (it just shows a small notification of what's happened without prompting you), but it's not for everyone.

Id say with kis pdm enabled you don't need prevx or those tons of scanners your usin you can verifi they will find notingh. I can't think of a harder setup the kis to penetrate.

Prevx1 will use the same hooks and drivers and operate in the same way "under the hood" regardless of whether you're in ABC, Pro, or Expert mode. Reducing one or the other may reduce the number of prompts that you see, but whether it does anything to reduce potential for conflicts is questionable.

Then again most people on this forum don't encounter malware anyway. Prevx1 does, however, catch new malware files running on systems protected by KIS 6 every day. I'm sure the reverse can be said as well, but the point is that nothing is impenetrable.

Sure. Been running Prevx for about 2 months now with KIS 6.0.2.621.
    No problems or conflicts.
    Running in ABC mode.
The only change I made to the prevx settings was to disable network security since I use the firewall in KIS.
Of course with KIS running, Prevx has yet to find anything.

I have Prevx and use it in expert Mode with Event Notification unchecked. I also have the AVG Firewall, but does anyone feel this needed with the Prevx Network Security and a Router Firewall?

    I am using KIS 6.0
621 is the new version number.
Prior to this I had 614 which is maybe what you're using.
Prevx ran well with that version also.
    Hope this helps!
