Is the old Prevx home version (not Prevx1) still good for use? How good is its protection? What does it protect? Better then SSM Free?

Also, sandbox question. Which is the most secure yet easiet free sandbox? Or is HIPS enough?

i dont consider prevx home as still usable. theres no updates for it and theres better programs.

iirc, prevx home protected numerous things like IE settings, startup items, and it could also "block" buffer overflows.

SSM already covers many similar areas as prevx home and it has program execution control.

    I know they're different, I'm just saying.

A sandbox to me is annoying. None of them are unobtrustive enough. The one I liked most was Bufferzone but it wouldn't let me turn off the red border. So I dunno. What are some sandbox subtitues, like programs that provide similar protection?

There is option to turn off red border but I never tried.
If free GesWall or BufferZone or Sandboxie-- all good acc to ur choice.
    I found GesWall least obtrusive!!
Paid- DefenceWall seems good though I did not used it except for few days.
But it seems least obtrusive as well. SandBoxie has paid version also, never tried though.
