Great - sorry again for the inconvenience, and I'm still going to be investigating why this took so painstakingly long to get you the refund.

After seeing this I went ahead and purchased 2 licenses. I pay as much for customer support as for perfomance.

I've found that Cleverbridge, the company used by Prevx to take payments can be a nightmare to deal with. It's unfortunate that Prevx use them.

I've been waiting since 16/1 to get proper legal VAT invoices out of Cleverbridge who don't seem to understand the EU VAT regulations.

I'd much prefer for Prevx to use an in-house system - something like Eset has for instance. That way Prevx could get a proper professional relationship with their resellers.

Is there some way I could get a trial key to trial the full functions of the product for a short period of time?

Trial it if you will...but I guarentee that you will purchase it. It is absolutely cracking software...and the support is by far the best I have ever, ever experienced.

    :D

(Oh dear, I am starting to sound like a 'fan boy'...well I never!)

I guess I don't see what the big deal is about the PrevX trial, I mean if it detects something and your existing setup didn't deal with it then you have the same results as if you never had PrevX loaded in the first place, right? The fact that a free key AND a refund was handed out shows they're serious about customer service and as someone mentioned earlier that's huge in my book.

I bought two licenses and since my wife LOVES to click on anything free, this software gives me that much more piece of mind. Keep up the great work PrevX , never forget those principals and your hard work will be rerwarded.

I do have one small gripe and it's the fact that I was charged an international charge fee when I live in the States. I would recommend a U.S. biller so this doesn't happen to others.

Thank you for this information - on Monday I'll see why these charges are there and what we can do to avoid them :)

Presumably the billing was via Cleverbridge so just out of curiousity how much did they charge for your two licenses?
Since Prevx is a registered UK company was this "international fee" in addition to any foreign exchange fee either detailed on the bill or seperately by your credit card company?

As a UK resident if I (somewhat perversely) request two licenses in USD, then Cleverbridge appear to total this at $44.12 (Details in attached). I suspect if I completed this transaction my credit/debit card company would also charge me (probably two seperate) foreign exchange fees in addition?

So if as you suggest Prevx engaged a US Biller would not similar dollar to Sterling exchange rate (and admin overhead) apply?

I presume this was a MasterCard charge in my case, it was NOT a Cleverbridge charge.

Joe, had the same thing happen to me last year when I renewed for 1 computer. Used Visa and THEY (VISA) charged my debit card $3.00 fee. Burned me up, so when I decided to renew early for 2 machines, noticed they had added PAYPAL as a source to pay. Being as the funds are drawn directly from my checking account, there were no fees applied. Know this is a work around, but it worked for me. :)
