    Hello,

After the last Vista 64 patch from Microsoft like a week ago (maybe more, have been away from the computer a bit due to my little brother being in a bad accident), Prevx stopped working on my computer, and a popup saying "Prevx Computer Security Investigator has stopped working" pops up numerous times at startup (at each startup it pops up about 6 times).

I tried uninstalling Prevx through the windows Control Panel, but the same popup appears everytime I click 'change/uninstall'.

Also, on a different note, I have a 3 year subscription to Prevx (always liked the product). Do I need to pay extra for the Safe-Online product? And is it a complete reinstall, or just click update (which of course, I can't do at the moment since the Prevx GUI doesn't even load). Just a reminder, I'm running Vista 64.

Triple Helix's suggestion is definitely the right way to go :)

At the moment, SafeOnline doesn't support x64 but once it does, you will need to pay extra for it (although a number of its functions are provided for free) and the upgrade takes place automatically within your license key so you wouldn't need to download anything further.

Let me know if you have any other questions or if the warnings still persist and I'll take a closer look!

Thanks. A reinstall got it working again.

By the way, I installed the 64bit version from the website, and it says it has a trial version of Safe-Online installed as part of it.

That is because your license key still supports the trial version - if you were to install it on a 32bit PC, you would still have it carry over the SafeOnline functionality (and SafeOnline not being supported in x64 is a temporary "problem" :) We should have this "fixed" very soon :))
