Re: Prevx 3.0 with SafeOnline build 3.0.5.205

    Hello all
We've finished another round of minor changes for Prevx 3.0/SafeOnline.

You can download it in about one hour from http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=edgebeta for 32bit/64bit new installations or from http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=edgebeta64 for a manual upgrade on a 64bit installation.

If you've been having problems with Photoshop or some games, please install this update and then reboot - that should correct the issues directly after rebooting.

    The changelog is as follows:

    - (P30) Increased the size of the scan job to now include additional dormant files
    - (PSO) Improved compatibility with Online Armor
    - (P3E) Fixed some areas within Enterprise caching
    - (P30) Improved updating under self protection
    - (P30) Improved service reliability

Please let me know if you have any questions! Thank you for the testing :)

All is working fine with .205, after the barrage of problems i encountered with .199 this is just divine. Thanks again for the troubleshooting :thumb: I assume i can install this on our other box now too, if things go wrong we'll need to deal with a pissed off wife in addition to the computer. :D

Initially didn`t auto-update, and failed on a manual upgrade (x64) - this has happened before.

After a reboot and there being no sign of it, I attempted to reinstall again - it didn`t install, but something happened as it kicked into life of it`s own accord afterwards.
If I recall correctly, the message said something to the effect of "file could not be found".

All seems to be working OK now though. :thumb:

Thanks TH, I will do that should it happen again.

is there some kind of intermittent issue with the installer...or was it more than likely just a fluke ?

As it`s happened before I just wondered if it might have been just me, or whether anyone else saw (or has seen) this blip. :thumb:

In most cases when you have any problems it's best to uninstall reboot and install cleanly!

The only minor issue I'm experiencing with .205 is a occasional delay in the "Saving your Settings" screen when switching from user account to LUA or when closing down the PC.

    Otherwise, it works great.

We've made a minor update to .205 (to .206 now) which corrects an issue with XPS files.

    Thanks for the testing! :)

Updated to build .206 while I was running as Standard User. Is this ok, or should
I do a clean install as Admin? Sorry if this is a silly/newb question. Main reason I
ask is due to issues I'm having switching users (in bugs thread), thanks.

Did you try to install the file you downloaded as it should know which OS version you are using! Or PrevxHelp can supply a direct download link for the x64!

Automatically updated to this on my desktop with Windows Vista x64 bit and it caused log off / switch user errors to happen constantly in which Prevx doesn't load.

Being this is a security solution, starting up is the # 1 priority. You can have the best security in the world but if it doesn't turn on, it's wasted.

As for my Windows 7 computer, this crap has already been happening for months despite re-installs.

I recommend Prevx to everyone I know and if this is happening to them they are either going to (A) not notice and get infected, or (B) kill me
