Using TI10 I have a task set to run robocopy.exe (Microsoft's Robust File Copy utility) after the image has been saved.

Robocopy return codes are between 0-7 for various non-failure results and greater than 8 if something went wrong.

TI10 is seeing a return code of >0 and assuming robocopy failed. I have tried getting around this by using a batch file to run a command that will fail if robocopy's return code is >7, and to run a command that will succeed if the return code is <8.

TI10 doesn't seem to be able to recognise the return code from the batch file, as it always states "Execution of user command succeeded".

Can anyone help with a way to get this working?

    Hello Proactive Services,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Please be aware that Acronis True Image does not track if the pre/post command completes successfully or fails.

Please also notice that as described in chapter 5.3.3 "Pre/post commands" of the respective User's Guide, interactive commands (i.e. commands that require user input) are not supported.

    Thank you.

From what I've seen, if a command fails, Acronis will notify the user as per the "Abort the operation if the command fails" option in "Pre/Post Commands"->Edit, but not from a batch file.

    Hello Proactive Services,

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Please make sure you use the latest build (4942) of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home. To get access to updates you should first register your software.

If the issue persists, please collect some information to let us investigate it thoroughly:

Please create screenshots of both variants of the post command setup screen.
Please collect the batch file in question.
Please also describe how do you expect the command to work in details.

Then submit a request for technical support with the subject indicating that you want to contact Marat Setdikov. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
