New member here. When I tried to post it said it was awaiting moderation. Just for clarification, does each post now require moderation/approval, or is it only for new members and their initial post.
(I did search the site and terms to find an answer first).

    Thanks!

There are several anti-spam features new members have to get through before their accounts are fully enabled. However, after that, new accounts are set to full access.

I've seen spam cripple sites I've used in the past. It seems to be getting worse. It's pretty rare here though so the anti-spam features must be working.

I'm also a new member here, and I really don't mind having to get through several anti-spam-features. This is perfectly fine with mel. :)

Just one more thing. I cannot edit my posts. Does this have something to do with the fact that I'm a new member getting through the anti-spam features mentioned above or is it just not possible to edit what you have posted? Just curious.

Mods have no sense of humour.

Actually, we laugh quite a bit at some of the funny things that get posted, even if we have to remove them. Some of it real is hilarious.

I know it seems that some of the things that are edited out might not hurt things that much, but, the problem is, history has shown us (over and over and over) that people really like to "one up" each other. For every funny thing posted, a lot more always follows. So, we tend to draw the line pretty tightly to head that off. When we did allow more of that, we ended up with it decending into rather crude humor in many cases.

You should actually be over the threshold now and should have an edit button.

Thanks for clarifying. It is useful to avoid spam so new members don't go posting 50 things the first week about where to buy the latest ..................

USA still the best. But barely.
I wish those responsible for the great anti-spam measures here at Wilders would tutor those responsible at other sites.

Another site I frequent is overrun by spam around twice a month & becomes useless.

    Here at Wilders it's beautiful.
