PORT SECURITY

    IS IT SAFE IF I ALLOW TCP/UDP IN ESS FIREWALL SET-UP FOUND ON THE INTER ACTIVE MODE ?? HELP PLS. BECAUSE ESS CANNOT UPDATE ALL WORKSTATIONS WHEN ESS FIREWALL IS ON, THEN WHEN I SET UP IN INTERACTIVE MODE AND I SET A NEW POLICY THAT I ALLOW TCP/UDP PORTS. THEN IT UPDATES. IS THIS SAFE TO MY LAN? THANKS

    Hi, this should be fine if done in the following way: Create a rule called "mirror".

    F5 -> Personal Firewall -> Rules and zones -> Zone and Rule editor Setup -> New:

    -"Direction" should be set to "Both"
    -"Action" should be set to "Allow"
    -"Protocol" - "TCP&UDP"
    -Click the "Local" tab and add port "2221".
    -Click OK twice to save the rule.
