Port Explorer v1.680 is now available! This version adds something we are sure a lot of people will enjoy, it shows you what countries every IP address belongs to. Now you can easily find out where that IP is without having to resort to other methods. It is 98% accurate and is based on a huge database.

Here are the main improvements (see the help file Whats New section for full details):

    - Added automatic IP-to-Country resolving of all remote IP addresses (there is now a Country column in the main display, file log, and window log).
    - Added IP-to-Country capability to the Lookup utility.
    - Resolve Utility now uses the IP database to locate countries (more accurate than the previous method).
    - Fixed a possible lockup which could occur on 2K/XP machines with process resolving.
    - Fixed a possible lockup during shutdown.
    - Fixed a possible crash in Lookup dialog when searching for items not in the database.
    - Each resolve thread now has its own controller.
    - More tweaks to the GUI.

The free evaluation download and full licensed versions of Port Explorer v1.680 are both available now for download at http://www.diamondcs.com.au/portexplorer/

Registered members should go into the Members Area of the Port Explorer website to download the full version - as always, this is a FREE upgrade for all licensed users.

Yes a new domains.dat for everyone to enjoy which I forgot to bundle into the original installation, not a real biggie though, just added a few countries like Israel and Macedonia to the resolve utility (country locating). I think ports.dat is newer too, would have to ask Gavin :)

I suggest all Windows 95,98,98se and ME users redownload the v1.680 if they have got it already. I have fixed 2 issues (one in the DLL and one in the EXE) which affects Win9x users with possible crashes. Only a very small update hence no new version.

Please re-download it if you are on the affected operating systems.
This affects both the DEMO and FULL versions, so if you have either and experience any problems please get this update.
