hi my brother and law has been naughty with his computer surfing porn sites now he keeps getting popups for lap dancers games etc. i used spyware doctor with system restore turned of it found 60 items which it deleted and quaritined. things wre going well but when i phoned him he said they were back. ive put spyware guard and spyware blaster spybot ad-ware he has service pack 2 with opoup blocker on high. i havnt had chance to use spybot and ad-ware for him but i dont think these will help anyway. in windows explorer i typed in diallers it found a few items but i thought i better not delete the as it could be his dial up connection. can anyone give some ideas please Thank You
Looks like a severe infection given that Spybot, Ad-aware and others cant root them out. Well, I would suggest you download HikackThis from http://www.spywareinfoforum.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip Run it and post a log file here on wilders or any other spyware forums so that experts can help you out. Remember, DO NOT delete anything before consulting knowledgeable people. HijackThis doesnt provide you with recommendations about deleting or retaining any file/program. Post a log and seek advice.
