    Hi
I purchased a 12month license of nod32 2.7 on the 23/8/2007 (23rd Aug 07) after using the 30 day free trial -- everything was going hunky dory until yesterday evening when a Nod32 popup tells me that I have exceeded the 30 day free trial by 103 days -- buy the product or uninstall -- I've only been using it for 4 months now and I get this -- I tried to re-enter my license no but am unable as it is all greyed out -- I sent an email to esset explaining my predicament and got an auto reply (email) telling me that they received my email. I also sent an email to the company here in NZ that I brought it from -- but as it is a weekend I will have to wait until Monday to see if I get an answer. Is there any other way I can re-enter my license no apart from going into update -->setup. I would appreciate some help here from anyone.

    Hi!

The issue came from the fack the trial wasn't correctly uninstalled or because you have entered the license in the trial (upgrade button option) - small bug in v2

All you need to do is to reinstall . If you haven't heard there is a new version (v3) :
    http://www.eset.com/products/nod32.php

    Install v3:

    1. Download fresh new Eset v3 product from http://www.eset.com/download .
Make sure that you choose the correct version.
    2. Uninstall your current version from Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs
    3. Reboot the computer when prompted
    4. Delete manually this folder:

    - C:\Program files\ESET

    5. Install your ESET smart protection with the file you just downloaded . Use typical install.

    Enjoy!

HiTech_boy - my problem is fixed -- when I finished talking to you I
did a manual update of Nod32 2.7 then closed down and went to work.
After work I restarted the computer to uninstall/reinstall
nod32. I noticed that there was no notification box and thought this a
bit strange so I restarted my computer several times to check it out.
Sure enough no box -- so I checked in the update --> setup configuration
and I could see that my username box and my password box were now back
to normal (not greyed out). It's running asper normal now. For some reason
the manual update of the virus database fixed the problem.
I intend to stay with 2.7 until all the bugs are fixed in 3.0.
I must also tell you that eset support were also fast to respond to my email.
Once again thanks for your rapid response.
