If you open up TI without your backup drive switched on, under backup locations, your quota and storage periods will be missing.

This is because the XML file that governs the rules is kept on the backup drive, whereas the backup location is kept in the config XML file in the All Users folder of your OS harddrive.

This of course allows you to have multiple backup locations.

Will it work if you have two Locations backup drives connected at the same time ?

I haven't tried it, but I think the 'big boys' version allows more than one backup location - I'll try it later.

This is why if you uninstall one version of ATI that had Backup Locations created and, by scrubbing after the uninstall, you delete the All Users\Acronis directory, then install another version of ATI, it won't recognize the old Backup Location even though the local xml file is still in the old Backup Location directory.
