After rebooting from Windows, PM is in the middle of a partition resize (shrink) and has hung. ESC an Ctrl C have no effect. There is no disk activity, and no progress bar activity either. Support is closed! Is it safe to restart the computer? I'm shrinking the extended partition, so the boot drive should be safe, but what about the data on the extended partition? Does the shrink actually move data, or just space? HELP!

    rglissma,

Shrinking a partition does move data, especially if being shrunk from the left, so there could be some data corrupted, however it depends on where the operation stopped. I have seen Partition Manager stop between two pending operations, so it is possible that your data has not been damaged. At this point you will need to reboot the machine and see what the state of the drive is.
