    PLZ Idiots Guide to install Antivirus 4 beta for OpenSUSE 10.2

    (would be good thing other distro of Linux all so)


    i look ever were i can't find anything. i am New to Linux. i have nod32 on my windows for 4 years. I want test the BETA for Linux

    Download the >"User Guide"< .. DOES NOT TELL YOU HOW TO INSTALL in any shape or forum.

    Hi there,

    you need to download the file ;)
    Next make sure the file is executable. In an terminal give 'chmod +x /path/to/ueav...linux'. In your filemanager right click on the file --> properties --> authorisation (or so) --> set it to executable.
    Then you can double click the file and your system should ask for your or the root password.
    Follow the instructions and ignore the message on the last dialog. Linux must not be restartet.
    This should work on all distributions with rpm or deb package managment.
    On other distributions you can install the latest beta (4.0.26) but it will not integrate in the init process. For this you should read the manual. ;)
