Please Help.

    Hi.. everyone
    Last week I purchased PG.. but I haven't been able to use it yet..
    I installed it on my PC (Administrator).. but everytime I start my PC I get the following message:
    Mutex unable to load.
    And ProcessGuard: System Status Unknown
    ProcessGuard Status: Error in initialization.. Check dcsuserport.exe.

    This doesn't mean much to me can anyone please help..
    I'm using XP... SP2..and have 2 administrator accounts on my PC..mine, and my fathers.

    Hi DePaulus, Sorry to hear that you are having problems, your best bet is to completely uninstall ProcessGuard is Safe Mode then delete the following Registry keys.
    Search for procguard and delete any keys you find, do not worry about any legacy keys.
    Search for Process Guard and delete any keys found, finally search on pgaccount and delet those keys.
    Warning: Working in the registry can cause big problems unless you know what youa re doing, so please back it up before making chabges.

    Reboot your machine and re-install ProcessGuard - Please ensure that other security programs etc. are not running.

    I see that pgaccount is mentioned in the above. I have PC working but it says pgaccount is not running. Is that important or easy to fix? Thanks in advance. Oh I didn`t want to start a new topic just for this question.

    Thanks Pilli, for your reply,.. I had however just re-installed PG again, without removing the old one!!.. I hope this is OK!
    I'm Pleased to say , that so far it is working fine.. fingers crossed!!
