Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm no firewall expert.

If a firewall claims to provide inbound and outbound protection, and it fails the leak test at grc.com, does that mean the outbound protection is not working?

No it could be how the firewall is working also.... ZA can fail the test... but it really pass's it.. its how the test is performed. some firewalls do it in a different way that the test cant monitor.

I guess I won't worry about it too much then.

    Thanks Fajo.
