I went to the thread on "Browser Exploites and alternative defences" ... where you run Poll to see if Browsers or whatever can be exploited.

When I clicked the link to that thread to see the Poll ... within 2 seconds ... McAfee detected the virus.

I Did Not click any link in that thread to test my broswer at all.

I simply clicked on the title to the WSF's thread.

So I am very curious as to how it happened.

I wonder if Exploit-URLSpoof.gen trojans virus is actually one of the link testing the browser or is someone trying to hack me.

The test uses an exploit and mcafee thinks it is a trojan and the reason mcafee can't get rid of it is because that it really isn't the trojan that mcafee has the deffination files to. but it still is a pain in the neck. :D ;)

Please seach under "Browser Exploits and alternative defences".

    It is a POLL.

It was posted by Peakaboo and BigC was the last one to response to that thread.

I Dare Not go there again to click it ...

Ok ... I need to go to bed now ... 4.05am here in UK ...

I need to work tomorrow ... I just hope I can stay awake that's all.

I will come back again for more education .... 2morrow.

I've learnt Safe Mode today ... and I learnt how to delete ... and I learnt how Not to panic.

But worst of all ... I learnt the pain everyone faced when they got virus in their system.

    Cheerio

This one got through because it was not really a virus, mcafee thought it was and alerted you but if it had been an actuall trojan mcafee would have probably been able to delete it or put it in quarantine. It alerted you but it didn't have the deffinations to clean this one because it was not what it thought it was. ;)
