please help ASAP

    could someone out there tell me how to 'remove' my spyware guard v2.2 out of my programs on my laptop? when i access the 'add/remove' programs from my control panel and highlight the 'spyware guard v2.2' program to REMOVE it...it will not remove it. its asking me to 'close' it o_O? because it's detected that its running..but i dont know how to close it..each time i go to the SG icon and double click it...it does NOTHING...please help..thanx o_O :(

    pieter, i did as you suggested but i dont know how to 'access my registry'..keep in mind that i am a computer/tech challenged...just about brain dead person when it comes to this stuff.... :(

    Hi fmpla,

    The link LowWaterMark posted is still available.
    No need to rummage around in your registry.
    Download and doubleclick: this file and confirm you want to merge it with your registry.

    That should do it.

    Pieter....believe it or not...geez...i didnt realize that i had the SG icon in the little 'hidden task bar' on the right corner of my screen...i just 'happened' to hit the < and all the hidden icons came up and i clicked on the SG and it took me to the status/options box to disable and shut down spyware guard which i did and phew....problem solved! thanx so much for the info...take care.
