Hi there, I was wondering if someone might be able to help me.
I've just today paid for and downloaded nod32 in Australia, after using the trial version.

I've removed the trial version (perhaps not well enough) and downloaded Nod32, got the passwords and proceeded.

After going through the download and install process a window appeared telling me:

    (120) Error occurred NOD32MOD_WINNT_ENGLISH_STANDARD.

It's probably something really simple and given that I'm a bit of a muppet when it comes to this sort of stuff I'd really appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

    Many thanks in anticipation.

    Hi stalksie, welcome to Wilders.

    Do the following files exist?

    C Drive> Windows> Temp

    C Drive> Documents and Settings> (User Name) XXXXXX> Local Settings> Temp

    Cheers :D

    G'day Blackspear,

The C:/windows/temp folder is there, but the second one doesn't appear to be.

    Cheers

Are you displaying all files, including system files? If you are, just create that folder and try installing again.

    Cheers :D

Are there some files in there I should delete to help with a successful install?

    Thankyou Blackspear.

    Cheers

You could try deleting all your temp files (not folders).

    Cheers :D

No worries mate - would it be that the trial version wasn't uninstalled properly?

I had it on my pc for a while after the 30 day period.

Are the things that are in that file able to be deleted given it's in a temp folder?

Would that perhaps make it work?

    Thanks for your patience.

Files inside the temp folder are safe to delete.

Download a FRESH copy of Nod32 from www.nod32.com as well as the Trial version.

Try reinstalling the Trial Version and uninstalling it again.

    REBOOT your Computer.

Remove the Eset Folder from C Drive> Program Files.

Install the FRESH copy of Nod32 that you downloaded above using “Typical Settings”.

Let us know how you go…

    Cheers :D

It's all gold for Australia here mate - I removed, rebooted and downloaded a fresh version.
It wasn't too keen on me downloading the trial version; the firefox downloader ran through the 9mb in about 15 seconds which was unusual.
The only thing I did differently was extract the files to the desktop instead of the default directory which may have done something.
    No matter, it's all happening.
Thanks so much for your help and keep up the good work helping bunnies like me navigate the vagaries of the binary world.
    :D
