Anyone else getting these lately. Look at the amaturish quality of the message body. I hope no one here on wilders would click on the link in one of these phony e-mails

In this case the link's not the link, the message is made of an image and this whole image is the link to the fisher's site. It's a weekly bore.

    Hi meneer, ;)
No, there's a link, but I took a screenshot of the message and this link is active. I surely wouldn't want to post the message in question.
It looks like a genuine message, even the layout looks professional.

:) I didn't react on your posting the image, I just experienced that the identical mail that I receive consists of an image. The text in the mail is not html text. Trying to copy the text from this mail will not succeed, it is an image.

    BTW: Are you using PocoMail/Barca?
If the buttons above the preview pane are active you can only see some text. Deactivating these buttons let's you see the message. Otherwise when tapping the attachment tab you'll see only the image.

My corporate e-mail client is Outlook. It only shows the clickable image. At home I'm safe, The Bat! shows the images in tabs.

    Hi bigc,
Your phishing email can be found at Fraudwatch International, but I didn't find mine.
I'll better send it to them to let them know. :)

Hi Rita, some interesting information can be found at the above website address. ;)

i dont know fraudwatchinternational. it may be a great site, but you'd think they'd recommend adaware and spybot. what do you think?

    Hi ice,
They do offer good advice too and they've a huge collection of phishing scams, but has you said about pag. 7 that's really not good.
Just saw it today, because yesterday it was late. It's also a public site living of sponsors. So maybe they don't know better and accept every sponsor.
I agree they should be advertising Ad-Aware & Spybot, not the rogue ones.
No offense taken, we learn every day a little bit more. ;)
