PG's Alerts box, at bootup, says that Sygate's smc.exe was blocked from creating a global GetMessage hook. What's that mean? And, is it good or bad, that it's stopped by PG? And, is there a site/list, wherein one can read most common Alerts? And I still hope to find comprehensive list of setting varied permissions, correctly, for more common apps (MS and non MS alike). List like that around anywhere, you know?

Thanks, SG1 (Pat) - having "gone over to the light side," and bought PG just recently...

Its very normal, and you should always allow a verified legitimate security program like Sygate, any access it needs to function fully.

A GetMessage hook sounds like it would be used in the GUI or service for communication with other components.
