I find it VERY unusual the folks from DCS have not posted here in a while. In the past, they were very visible here at Wilders.

    Today being Sept 10.....
    • WAYNE - DIAMOND CS: Last Post AUGUST 12 (29 Days and counting...)
    • GAVIN - DIAMOND CS: Last Post AUGUST 24 (17 Days and counting...)
Maybe they are working on fixing their web site? In any case, one of the biggest reasons I like their software is because of the great support. Where have they gone?? Maybe we can put their picture on a milk carton. :D

Seriously, I just wish we could turn back the clock and have our old friends at DCS back. :'(

What if they just are on vacation? Maybe we shouldnt speculate when we dont have the facts. Wayne has stated that a new program is in the horizon, thats the fact that we have.

btw I changed my email adress to memberpages at diamondcs a week ago. There were someone who responded quickly. So I dont think the Diamondcs is going to fold :)

That's entirely possible, sukarof. However, why would a company that just abruptly whacked their flagship software (TDS) tell everyone that new software is on the horizon, and then take a month-long vacation. I don't think so. Unfortunately I think lack of attention to their web site and their absence from this forum (until today) is possibly an indication of something else.

Hopefully (and probably) it's just hard work on their part on some new and exciting security application (my mouth is watering...), and poor judgement on their part (regarding lack of attention to their web site).

    Hello, Dan. :)

Don't get me wrong. I continue to support DCS. The last think I want to see is my precious PG go the way of TDS. I want(heck, I NEED) them to succeed. But for them to really be successful, I think they need to raise the bar. Because if they are happy with the way things are going now (including lack of attention to web site), it's definately too low.

Hey, be patient, Dazed and Confused ! lots of changes are on their way, I guess they can't do everything in the same time :D

if you didn't already see it, there's a preview of the new site posted by Gavin in this thread: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=95017 looks nice !

...and I just hope theses rumours about PG decrease are false ( I'm even confident, indeed  - when you look at the forums stats, there is often twice more people on PG than on TDS: a good sign of its popularity :) ), because I couldn't do without it !!! , that's the "quiet mind doing" program of any system.

We are left with no other choice, but to speculate. DCS refuses to release information. As for the new program, Wayne said the same thing about TDS-4 for 2 years.

For all those that say to be patient I have a question. How patient should one be? Hypothetically, if another year transpires and there is still no release of new software nor a new website and people complain, will you still be instructing those people to exercise indefinite patience into perpetuity?

    Gavin,
I will say that I like the preview of the website here:
    http://www.diamondcs.com.au/freeutilities/apt.php
    Very nicely done.

I think there is one difference between TDS-4 scenario and the current new TDS software waiting scenario.

In the former, people have a vested interest in it, because of the free upgrade offer.

In the latter, while it might be nice to know what and when exactly the new software is coming out, DCS doesn't really have any obligation to tell us. Unless some of you mentioned to get upgrade offers for the new software??

Or perhaps there are those of you who desperately need some security software and are waiting first to see what DCS comes up with. For those people, I advise you not to wait, since you have no idea when DCS will come up with a product, and/or what it will do. If you feel you desperately need a AT scanner software to replace TDS-3 just go out and purchase one of the remaining brands, waiting for DCS is not a good idea.

For the rest of us here, it doesn't really matter when or the manner in which the info is released, we will all still dutifully snap up whatever DCS produces anyway.

I see from the DCS web site that PG3 is still "Just Released". It's apparent that lots of work has been put into PG version 4, which sounds like will be out soon. I can't wait. :)

Does anyone care to comment on what's happening with the new and improved DCS web site we heard about last year? Will work resume on that once PG4 is out? o_O

Wayne should probably revamp or update the DiamondCS site in order to remove the PG3 Just released title. Should be "PG 3.3 just released" instead when 3.3 was really released.

Not quite yet but this version has run very well for me...:thumb:. As Wayne says on the page this should be the last Beta release prior to the final 3.3 version.
