    Hi WilliamP and all.

This is what I am doing.

Assume PG is up and running.

    Protection is enabled.

In the files window highligh c:\yourpath\pg_msgprot.exe.

    Under the block flags option:

write, setinfo, terminate, and suspend are all checked
    (this is the default)

    Under the allow flags option:

    all are checked.
(I added suspend, to stop a continuous suspend message I was getting. Tested with the demo and all seems okay)

    To logoff,shutdown, etc

    1. Disable protection.

    2. Highlight pg_msgprot.exe
    3. Under Block flags uncheck terminate.
    4. Under allow flags uncheck suspend.
    5. minimize PG and shutdown.

When you log back in just reverse.

    1. highlight pg_msgprot.exe
    2. under Block flags check terminate
    3. under allow flags check suspend
    4. enable protection

thats it. Let me how it goes.

Thank you for your response. I don't think that I am computer savy enough for all that . I appreciate the info but I think that I will wait on the fix. I hope that it doesn't take too long.

    Hi WilliamP

I don't think you need to be very computer savy.

Double click on the PG icon, which brings up the program. Notice the bottom window has the files protected. Move your cursor to the top of the window, where the headings are. Slide your cursor to the separation of the headings between Process path and blocked privileges. When the cross hairs come up slide the cursor to the right. This will reveal the full file names.
Move the cursor over the line with the file name pg_msgprot.exe. Then left click once. This will bring up the menu where you can select the Block Flags, allow flags, and options. From there you can see what I did.

    Pete

    Hey guys :)

No need for extended methods, to log off just do the following

    - Disable protection

    - Close PG

    - Log off :D

    Yippee :D

I did a complete uninstall, and reinstalled. Left everything at defaults. Did what Gavin said and BINGO.

    Thanks Gavin.

PS When you said close, I took this to exit. Worked great.

PPS. Could you guys offer a course for other software folks on how to give customer support. You guys rock.

Just remember to re enable protection in the new profile.. we are looking at a few options for fixing the problem, but its not looking as big a deal as it could have been :)

This fix should also work for Fast User Switching, if anyone tries it please let us know :)
