    I noticed that in the Anti-Trojan comparison page of this website, PestPatrol's overall rating went from 4.5 stars down to 4.0 stars. Why? o_O Thanks in advance. ;)

    In short:

    - config troubles - far more than previous;
    - database updates crawling - far less than previous,
    - resulting in a worse detection rate.

    Thanks, Paul. Excellent reasons! Maybe PestPatrol should have stayed as a purely on-demand scanner. That's how I am using it now, with BOClean as the resident AT scanner. However, since PestPatrol has slipped somewhat, would you recommend switching to a different one? If so, which? Thanks in advance! :)

    PS TDS is out of my price range at the moment!

    Well, IMHO SaferSite should a) iron out some bugs b) update more often. Both can be done - and the app could be uprated once more.

    If you do have limited funds, why not stick to BOClean (provided the installed version works flawlessly)? If you really want an on demand AT in conjunction, you could trial TDS for 30 days (pick up the latest radius eg updates from their website and install), or trial TrojanHunter. Giving both a try, you'll be covered for at least aprox 2 months.
