    Hi,

    As usual, it's difficult to recommend a product, because it depends on many criterias: familiar or not with this kind of products, type of user (experienced or not) and so on...

    For an user who does not not like frequents alerts, Abtrusion Protector is interesting (based on a white list).
    There is a lso PrevX, All-Seeing (good as an application firewall, but totally not useful to prevent/block suspects behaviours (or malware installation), SSM and AntiHook ( both require a little experience with behavioral blockers).
    For the registry, RegWatcher seems a good choice.
    But it's important to notify that a total free protection is always limited.
    Then try and see by yourself.
