    Dear support,

i have a seriously performance problem on my notebook.
Starting a very small .Net 2.0 Windows-Forms application causes minimum 3 seconds of massive harddisc activities.
After it launches, i close it immediately and then the same harddisc activities occur.
It doesn't matter how often i iterate that starting/closing.
This not only belongs to this one application but to other applications too.

The interesting point now is, that if i switch off the option "Use Eset custom graphical user interface" in Nod32, this misbehaviour is gone!
The application starts immediately without any prior harddisc activities!

To be able to reproduce this described situation, i had to deinstall many other software.
Without deinstalling this other software, i was not able to point out that specific option (the graphical user interface).
So this means, that also other software maybe causes/influence this behaviour too.

But my only chance seems to be, to understand, what exactly is going on when the mentioned option is turned on or off.

    So my beg is:
Could you please tell me, what is going on behind?
What is the difference, when this option is switched on?
    What technologies are used then?

I think it is my only way to get my system fast again.

    Regards,
    AxelF

Hi and welcome to Wilders forums.
First of all, which are your system's specifications? RAM, OS, Processor, etc...

    ATI graphics?
    Driver version
    8.223

ATI has a history with NOD
The above is not the latest driver.

Actually i must say, that many other influences from different application came up during testing.

So finally i reinstalled Windoww XP and all seems to be fine.

    Thx for effort. ;)
