    Hi again,
I've just started developing a new edition for client/server.
It'll have the same feature of PEG 2.2 and hope not take time to be finished and then I'll start with the PEG 3.1 :)

    Thank you for support.
    Opaida.

I believe it now fulfills the criteria about being abandonware.

    1) No response from developer
    2) No changes have been made in a long time

Even though it have a lot of potential then this kind of software cant generate enough money for living but yet take full-time to develop. Opaida chose to do what was best for him by fulfill his educations and work on doing this full-time. I wont call it dead though because when he gets time and will he might continue his developing on this product. But dont expect any developing anytime soon.

The only thing missing for me in PE Guard is additional option for trusted processes, something like "Completly trust this process".
For example, my file manager (Q-Dir) is trusted, but when I launch apps from Q-Dir I always get warnings which I don't want. Of course, if explorer tries to launch these apps than I want a warning.

Just wondering how many of you are still using this? Abandoned or not, is this still an effective security app for 32-bit Windows?

I came across this old thread only because Cruise's questions (above) resurrected it. Now that I've read (quickly) through this thread I have the same questions... Is PE Guard still relevant? :doubt:

    Hi Wendi,

Judging from the lack of any feedback here I can only assume that PE Guard has not only been abandoned by its developer, it appears to have also been abandoned by its Wilders fans!

Fwiw, I'm using PEG2 on my Windows 32-bit system where it seems to be an effective layer of protection.

Thanks for the reply Cruise. Based on your positive feedback I downloaded and installed the free version, and so far it's running quite well (and with a minimum of pop-ups)! :thumb:

It appears as if you and I are the only ones left on Wilders with an interest in this app. Hopefully Opaida will find the time to continue development of this cool little securtiy gem. :doubt:

    Have a great 2012.

I also wish for that to happen but I doubt it, the author seems very busy with his life now.

    Oh, come on!
ImgBurn, Sandboxie, Malware Defender, System Safety Monitor Pro, Shadow Defender, those are examples of brilliant applications. PE GUARD was mediocre at best.

I've actually read the entire thread before and noticed that you are hating on this little app. What's with the hate? LOL. I've read many good reviews here about different users and you seemed to have anger issues with PE Guard :doubt: . Doesn't matter now though, as the developer is MIA.
