PE Builder Issues

I would love to implement PE Builder as our method to image our servers. We have IBM servers, and we usually have to work with the Acronis support team to get updated drivers. All of our new hardware does come with 2003 drivers, so we could easily update the PE disk ourselves. We are having two problems. If we have an external drive we cannot image to that drive as a drive letter as the Acronis plugin removes all drive letters to local drives (wish I could control this by specifying which ones). Today when I tried to create an image after booting Acronis and mounting a drive via dos it would not let me create the image. It gave errors saying it could not create the file. Any help would be great. Thanks
