Was that on 2008? He mentioned as well its a new methodology he's using. If he has the same findings and gives it a 4.5, then yeah he's way off the mark.

Well in August 2007 when he reviewed Spyware Terminator he was already saying

Then in September 07 he reviewed NISS and said

and NISS got 4.5.

In his KIS 2009 review he

and KIS 09 got 3.5.

This seems quite dodgy to me.

I dont care about the 3.5 stars from PcMag

all what i care about thats KAV give me a very good detection - a good huerstic wich have detected about 55 of vundo variants from my collection - one of the best at desinfecting viruses - hips to detect even unknown viruses

 

i dont know about the suite, but i have KAV 2009 running fine on a machine with only 190mb ram.

one that was cleaned up from over 2000 file infections, including exactly 40 in running processes from boot, mostly the Virut virus with a few trojan downloaders and a few random others too.

so i doubt, the suite is a hog....
