PCLinuxOS 2010 - Familiar taste of radical simplicity

The big small distro has done it again. New PCLinuxOS is out!

Accordingly, I've written a review of PCLinuxOS 2010 Linux distribution with the KDE4 desktop, covering topics like live session, Wireless, Samba sharing, Multimedia codecs (Flash, MP3, Windows video), desktop effects, visual style, installation, applications, performance, stability, laptop modes (sleep & hibernate), Compiz, and more.

I'll sum it up in one sentence... Good distro, bad software policies, ugly forum community.

 

And still no x64

 

I like their forum. It is smaller than some, so you do have the regulars with their own way of doing things, but they are helpful to a fault (Yes, I am a member, but not one of the more helpful ones). And they are very fast with package suggestions. Also, If anyone had problems with wireless, they have recently released a 2010.1 .iso, which claims to have remedied many wireless issues (it fixed mine).
