PC won't boot after install

I have just installed Disk Director 9.0 on an XP Pro machine SP2 with a single FAT32 drive.

The install ran through fine and now the machine has rebooted I get the following error which I suspect is an issue with the MBR?:

Exception 00 occured with error code 0000

A big list of stack contents followed by

Starting Acronis Loader.......

The screen flashes and will go no further.

Urgent help required PLEASE.

 

A bit more info...

I booted from the XP cd, which told me it could not proceed as there was already a Windows XP upgrade in process. The machine was upgraded from W98 but about 6 months ago!!!!!

 

I have installed the "faulty" disk in another machine and can read it fine - phew!!!

My question is: can I uninstall Disk Director manually in some way, or modify the MBR, so that i can get this disk bootable again?

Please try to fix MBR either with the help of Windows Installation CD or using one of the ways described at Acronis Help Post and let us know the results.
