Well that sux, another freebie bites the dust. I can't believe the prices they're asking for the pc-tools products. I mean $49 for pc-tools av? Last time i checked that av was fairly ordinary at best. Oh well easy come, easy go.

The apps that previously were free (e.g. firewall, AV, Threatfire) are STILL free.

I regret that PCT has been assimilated by the Borg, and have no doubt that free stuff will not remain that way. However, there hasn't been such a change as yet, so no need for "sky is falling" as yet.

In every group lies a mountain lion, Symantec IMO is one of those that overwhelms whatever it can dig it's claws into. And many of you already know the severity of injury after that happens.

So be it. Whatever floats their boat, the real winners are the program owners who reap some of Symantec's revenue rich monies.

Who really cares what Symantec does with PCTools programs. theye never really made the limelight in windows security anyway. Looks like Symantec can finish off the job now it's in thier hands.

SMART and Logical, Intelligent users anyway will gravitate toward dependable and reliable developers who are masterfully gifted.

Big Money gluts will never make or create the best! anyway because they are BLIND!

Just take a look at USA's wall street financial crisis going on right now, for that matter look at Microsoft.
