I am having a bit of trouble trying to shrink a 3.89 gb partition (or just get rid of it) so I only have W7 and the recovery partition showing. Can anyone help me figure out why it can't be shrunk/deleted?

    sportsfan7700,

I wouldn't do that as you will lose the use of 4 GB. Have you committed?

    Hi sportsfan7700 :)

From your pics, you have resized your recovery partition. Is that what you wanted to do? Typically no need to mess with the recovery part. in regards to size if it is factory, but you could have also added the unallocated space to your OS drive C where you could make use of that added space. I think that is what BrianK is asking about whether you committed to your selection. Just thinking out loud :)

    What Jim said.

Also, you have given the Recovery partition a drive letter which may not be wise.
