I am testing the Free 2015 version and it pleasantly surprised me, almost no impact on system performance and it is very simple to use, just install and forget.

It may become a favorite of mine in no time :thumb:

I just read a very positive review of Panda Free AV 2015 on pcmag.com and there was no mention of the nag screen. Manipulative advertizing is the downside of free AVs these days. I often use Avast for my customers who want free AV because it seems the least intrusive. Unfortunately intrusiveness has become more important than effectiveness when deciding which to use :thumbd: I sometimes use MS Security Essentials on supported OSs for that reason.

I didnt see any nag screen until now, just disable "Panda news" and you will be fine.

Thanks I found the setting and disabled the "news". It would be good to get confirmation that this disables the nag screen that LagerX is seeing.

Unfortunately it does not. I saw nag screen 2 days ago on both PCs. We'll see how often it shows up. Imo it's pretty long too (about a minute or so before it disappears).

    Dutch version?

@LagerX: Do you use the English version? I guess it has the most ad pop ups. :cautious:

The few days I tested it I did not see a single nag screen. Would have probably purchased, but the ordinal errors were disheartening.

Does anyone run this software and have Internet Explorer uninstalled? Panda says that may have something to do with it.

I think ads only will be see if "Panda News" setting is on, in another computer I didnt turned it off and I see an ad to Panda Pro, but it isnt that bad anyway.

In my opinion is unfair to say that Panda is nagging the user with ads, it is simple not true.

i just cant buy this software. every time i test it i always have some kind of issue with it. not always the same thing either. it usually is just a headache especially the full internet security version. i do agree the cloud version is somewhat light (not the lightest imo) but i had to many fp's personally and it annoyed me. while the full suite just always gives me a headache and is very much heavy.

Is there any difference in system performance between Panda Pro and Panda Free?

Yeah it is a shame because I do like it. However, it's just not ready for prime time and hasn't been for years.

I had 2 false positives in the last week, I really wonder why it didn't have a lot of FP in all tests. :doubt:
