    @Pbust,

    i have a suggestion,

some where in the interface have it show or state the last file scanned. most AV show or have that kinda nice and it shows people that the AV is 'Scanning'

also it would be nice to have the scanning window show the what file being scanned . along with the count.

also on popup messages have the time set higher because they leave fast and some people might tend to miss info when reading.

Does PCA notify the user if it somehow loses the connection to the cloud?
I mean is there any visual notification? So that i'm not thinking that i am fully protected, but in reality, PCA is running in offline mode with limited database...

    EDIT:
Btw pbust, to what extent are heuristics used here? Same as in stand alone suites (minus TruPrevent) or how is with that? Are heuristics also somehow "updated" through the cloud?

Thanks Brocke we will take this into consideration for future versions.

Only when running an on-demand manual scan.

Cloud Antivirus incorporates heuristics from the cloud. This basically consists of a small heuristics engine that is installed locally (and works as a standalone engine in and by itself while offline) and a remote heuristic engine in the cloud that evaluates behavioural traits of the local heuristics.

Oh. Thx. Too bad there is no other notification than inside Quick scan. I'd prefer to be somehow notified via tray icon (in some unintrusive way).

    Hi pbust,

can you explain this a bit? Does it mean that when the heuristics detect a file this file is not checked by the Collective Intelligence? Wouldn't be better the opposite; or at least give a submit popup to the user?

    thanks,
    Panagiotis

Actually it is checked against CI but under certain situations might not always do that (offline, CI doesn't know the file, etc.).

That would be a good feature if a pop-up appeared, 'connect to the internet to be fully protected with Panda'.

    Or something similar. :thumb:

Thanks. But how can a user know that the file is submitted?

This is not visible from the interface. We are building a web-based system where you'll be able to submit and follow the submission until detection.

    Nice. :)
If you could also add a submit button in the interface it would be even better. :D

    Quick question:

Where does Panda Cloud AV store its cache file? If i'm under shadow mode in Shadow Defender, I want to excude this folder from shadow mode so the cache for offline use remains untouched.

    Cheers.

Any chance of adding actual version number somewhere on the interface?
Maybe in the bottom left corner with a very small font?

I'm talking about the full version number, just to avoid confusions in general.

I would rather see the interface name 'Correct' changed to 'Protected' kinda odd it says correct and when not it says Danger wouldnt it make sense Protected - Danger ?

I agree. "Protected" or "Secured" (or any similar derivate) would be much better.

So when i'm using shadow defender, is this the only folder i'd need to exclude from shadow mode?

I've never used shadow defender, but to be on the safe side you might also want to exclude these data folders:

    XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Program Data\Panda Security\
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Program Data\Panda Security\

    Vista:
    C:\ProgramData\Panda Security\
    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Panda Security\

Don't have a W7 box handy right now, but I'll guess it's the same or very similar to the Vista paths.

    Hi :)

Are there anyway to exclude certain application from being scanned during its execution? I don't mean the "Quick Scan" part, but when I run the application. I have this application that gets blocked by PCAV everytime I run it, and the only way to bypass this is to temporary disable PCAV and turning it back on again after I'm done... o_O

That's weird. At the most it should only happen the first time you run a specific application and then it should be cached for all subsequent executions. Can you help us troubleshoot it?
1- Download the extract into c:\cloudavdump the file http://www.cloudantivirus.com/forum...ownload/50107-50880-52249-51632/scan-dump.zip
    2- Run Start.bat.
3- Try to reproduce the problem (running the program again).
    4- Run Stop.bat.
5- Send me the resulting Session01.etl file to pedro.bustamante@pandasecurity.com.

I just noticed that tray icon panda head drops a weird shadow on Windows Vista system. It looks fine if taskbar is bright, but looks kinda weird if taskbar is dark. Like the shadow isn't blending right but it sticks out a bit.
