Avast Online Security and Bitdefender TrafficLight are browser extensions only aimed at people with neither Avast nor Bitdefender products installed. The actual Avast and Bitdefender AV and IS suites inspect traffic through a NDIS filter driver and don't need extensions. To my knowledge, Panda does just the same, so web filtering should be independent of your browser choice. The actual toolbar is not necessary.

Hopefully they don't follow avasts example as the browser protection ( AOS ) has been riddled with problems ever since it was introduced as WebRep and even now it still crashes browsers or breaks page functionality, I'm hoping they do away with it altogether when the 2015 version is released.

Good to see them move to a nice, metro like interface! Fits in well with Windows 8X. I like it - Panda is a good choice for clients that want a free option without too many nags, and reasonable protection.

Trafficlight can be installed as a stand alone product but you cant install AOS by itself, you need avast installed to use it.

    Back to the Panda discussions:)

What i meant is that testing this link http://www.cloudantivirus.com/testurlfilter/ Panda Cloud will fail with Comodo dragon, with FF,with SRWare Iron or Opera...and sometimes with IE.Old story in fact.Hope they will do something about it.

Whenever I have tested with IE and FF Panda always blocked the site.

Good Evening! Just a word of Caution...before thinking of purchasing Panda Cloud Pro A/V...especially in North America...inquire with their Sales and Customer Support about their Policies...specifically regarding Refunds and Cloud Support. This is merely a heads up...so you don't have to face the Nonsense I encountered. Sincerely...Securon

I'm surprised by the amount of dislike for the new GUI, though I do agree it may look awkward in the free version with many of the modules not being included.

I have a broad taste, so I rarely say a GUI is ugly.
but this one is definitely ugly GUI.

I love panda cloud and always refers it to friends.
Bad GUI wont stop me from doing that, but it might demotivate new comers.

URL filter is working here too, did Panda really fix it? Well done. :thumb: ;)

Detection is superior but I have to agree: I've never seen behaviour blocker doing anything. Is it just a placebo behaviour blocker like the avast one? :doubt:

Tried this today on a laptop that is just a toy (no important use really), and was a bit dismayed at the lack of settings.

Yeah I know, set and forget. Some of us like to "play" with stuff.

You'll attract more users with a set and forget app... And really like Panda Cloud for that reason.

If you want to "play" with a dozen of tools use avast. Please keep Panda light and simple. :)

+1, however Panda's goal is to unify the free version's UI with the commercial product, if I'm not mistaken.
I'm okay with some revamping, but please drop the metro interface.

Panda could add more features and just have an advanced features button to access them. This would still keep it simple, and there's no reason for adding extra features to stop it from being light.

how can you have more feature while making it light?
more code and more function will need more resource, unless they come with some magical / revolutionary new way.
You can't have your cake and eat it

besides, they already have full featured product, called panda internet security. and it use "The Panda Security Cloud Technology" too :D
