    From the CloudAV support forums:

I wonder if Panda will ever be able to fix these problems ... :doubt:

You can't pull a thread from the support forums and say its still causing issues for all users. The support forum will always make it seem like it still has issues because half the time users don't go to post how good av AV product is. Also as I glance over the thread I don't see where they said what version number it is.

Next up make sure you read what type of FP's those are. A few of them where hacking tools, they were an FP in that case but they are not in every case. Finally while checking out the fp reports on most of the time its not just Panda detecting it.

It's free and it does a decent job. Plus it's the only program from Panda Software that actually works. Others just fail miserably most of the time...

It's a smaller download and faster install than AVG and Avast as well. I appreciate it when I'm helping people with slow connections.

I like Panda Cloud AV but as you can read it also "detected" and crippled several PDF files (Exploit/PDF.Gen.B) ...

    There's room for improvement!

    It surely is. :thumb:
Just make sure to perform a complete scan after installation so that it can fill-in the cache.

Installed and running a scan right now. I uninstalled the toolbar however. Sounds like that is cool from a previous post in this thread. Is everyone else running it without the toolbar installed?

You can uninstall the toolbar and still keep the URL Filtering.

As an FYI, on Wednesday we will be releasing a transparent hotfix (reboot required under Home/Starter OS Editions) which includes some serious improvements in performance, specially regarding boot times.

Sounds great. Look forward to testing, though I am more concerned about disk i/o and scan times than boot times. I only reboot about once a week or two since Windows 7.

Awesome to know, thanks! That's exactly what I did, uninstall the toolbar but left URL Filtering in tact.

    Cheers!

As far as I know there should be faster scans with Panda Cloud 1.5 - let's hope so :)

One can't compare Panda Cloud with the Global Protection suite!

Search engines are your friend. But the short answer is that it's probably like Norton 360 or Kaspersky Pure.

I have switched all 4 computers over to Panda Cloud 1.4 and it is outstanding. As light as anything I have used. Yep, totally happy.;)
