Norton and McAfee beta too? Have the beta program started? If so, where can you sign up? If not, when can you? ;)

    feels great,

nice to see an improved bear icon,

it feels just like 2007, but has the http scanner and probably has that new virus-finding technology or whatever its called.

It's very nice, very light. I just wish Panda would have added a Scheduled Scan option. I don't understand why they won't include that option. Because of that fact, I didn't use the 2007, and I won't be using this one.

I threw it on the Vista box (awaiting VBA32 beta), it runs light but still as stated doesn't have a scedued scan nor any options for infected files still. But the HTTP scanner is light. There is a slight slowdown in system performance, but then again it is beta.

But how the hell, can you leave out the ability to schedule a scan. That is like leaving meat out of a hamburger.o_O

    its fine pal.

no real slowdowns to notice while surfing,

one problem ive noticed with the beta is getting the updates can be really slow, or at least it has been for me.

its running very light, ram doesnt even seem to change during a full system scan which is impressive.

everything else runs just as good as panda 2007,

full system scan was nearly 12 minutes for 10.5gb, which is similar to 2007.

I agree. How can you, or why would you, leave this option out? I've never understood this. I guess this is just Panda's idea of a bare bones AV.

some of the options are different,

plus, panda dont change the look of things... just incorporate the better things.

lets take the suite as an example,

    2006 looks exactly like 2007,
but 2007 has better technologys inside and is light on the system :)

its nice to see two main players finaly listening to customers and making the suites lighter.
symantec have made norton 2007 lighter.
panada 2007 is much lighter than the old versions.
now its just mcafee to follow suit. since mcafee 2007 is bloated still.
i migth beta test panda2008 later on.

    start up delay?

i never had this with 2007, and still dont think 2008.

<2006 give this problem, but 2007> has always been fine for me.

Running VERY well here - No performance slowdowns, no internet slowdowns. Http scanner seems to work very well :) Panda continues the good work :thumb:

Eventhough the interface aint important (when looking at performance) it could use a makeover. Or at least som minor changes to freshen it up. At least I think :)
