    Panda 2015 beta available

    http://www.pandasecurity.com/homeusers/downloads/beta/

    • New interface: easy-to-use interface, making it much easier than ever.
    • Much smaller local signature files. Nothing to do with traditional solutions.
    • All in cloud, not on your PC.
    • Developed from scratch to achieve 0% impact on system performance.
    • New heuristics-based protection to catch new malware without needing to know it first.
    • New signature cache for offline virus detection.
    • Proven efficiency: Over 5 million users can’t be wrong.
    • "Cloud inside": New architecture based on Panda’s cloud.
    • New PC Tuneup module. Keep your computer clean and tidy. You won't see the difference, but you will notice it.
    • Data Shield: Control access to sensitive data. Protect your confidential documents.
    • Parental Control. Give your kids the freedom they need with the protection you demand.
    • New smart firewall - Protect your Wi-Fi from intrusions and attacks.
    • Rescue Kit. Boot infected PCs in safe mode and disinfect them.

Its a big statement, maybe it is something like Webroot SecurityAnywhere, i will try later.

Ps: This "metro" interface is so ugly.

I still get a dozen of mails from Panda to renew my licence. I've unsubscribed but I still get mails from Panda, not nice at all. :thumbd:

will try this asap and report back to see how well it does.

wow VERY light on the system. has some issues here and there but man this thing is light. we are talking webroot light. the gui sucks though and some settings i wish it had are missing like a way to click update or at least i cant find any way to do a manual update?? ill run it on this test machine for a while and see how it goes this is impressive to me from panda to run this light (so far). detection so far is very good. only missed a couple of my samples from the past 48 hours. about the only impact so far i can see is it may have slowed the initial boot up just a tiny bit. but im talking just a few seconds.

i would have thought being global protection there would be some kind of local database for when you are disconnected from the net. but still no way to check for program updates. i like to check myself many times to make sure im in fact running the newest version.

see i was not sure because it was the global protection i figured it should have had some sort of local detection.

The sync of the cache, is done automatically.
Is a cache, not a real, signature database like traditional antivirus.
It uses the same tech of panda cloud free/pro av.

Actually I tested this few days ago and it scored a very poor detection rate on my pack and its amazing web blocker is the only thing that got it 100% on AV-C.

No offense to anyone but it does tell a story of why AV-C is not reliable.Something like panda that is so dependent on web guard will block 100%.Actually their signatures are getting worst as they progress.
