Generally yes...but for extra peace of mind, you could install the excellent Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program. It's freeware and it's very good at detecting and removing rogueware infections.

Thnks for info but how do i know isn't another trick prog like before.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program

Your computer should now be free of the Paladin Antivirus program. You may want to consider purchasing the PRO version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to protect against these types of threats in the future, as if you had the real-time protection component, that comes with the paid for version, activated it would not have allowed this infection to install

Because MalwareBytes is very...very..very well known to be pretty much the best malware removal program out there....it's mentioned and praised a few kajillion times in all the good tech sites out there.

Google will show you that in a few seconds.

There is no security software that will protect you 100% of the time.
The link to the removal of the Rouge should be done with Expert Assistance. This Rogue anti-virus remover targets, among others,
Also, a new Rogue has been discovered called Digital Protection, this rogue specifically targets disabling security software in order for it to run, very scary stuff! :ouch:

For your surfing convenience, ESET has a number of Rogue removal tools here

    Regards,

As others have advised, MAB is a very trustworthy program. In all honesty, you can just use the freeware options and use it to scan on demand as and when needed. You would have extra protection with the licensed version but with careful browsing, the freeware one should be fine.
