    Hi JacK,
As a recent convert to Outpost Pro from Sygate, still finding my way about but so far it "feels" more efficient than Sygate.
So seeing what V2 looks like would also be of great interest to me :D

    Hi controler,

These screenshots are from a German site I frequent sometimes and were posted in September of last year.
I don't think that is what JacK was looking for.

    Regards,

    Pieter

A word to those waiting. I have Win2k and use Wingate for ICS purposes on my hookup to my wifes Win98SE machine. I cannot get ICS to work. AnalogX Proxy does not work for email from my wifes machine, so I ended up with Wingate.
Outpost 1 has been working fine with Wingate, even with the "NAT firewall" installed.
Outpost Beta 2 does not seem to like my machine. It definitely does not get along well with Wingate, and even with Wingate uninstalled, it is causing "system" to run the CPUat 100% for an extended period of time.
Those using XP, seem to be doing well with a few minor glitches so far.
On Win 98, it has some serious problems.
So it seems one more program is suffering from the "make it work on XP and it doesn't work on any other Windows" syndrome.
It will all get worked out, but it is still going to be a little time yet to get the bugs worked out. About Wingate, I'm not sure. Agnitum does not claim to be able to support such programs as it is much like having two firewalls installed and causing conflicts.
I just wanted to give you good people a heads up on whats going on.
The short look I did get at the new version looks very promising. Much more than cosmetics have been changed.
Stateful packet inspection is an option on each ruleset. Cool! I know it passes the latest round of leak tests.
I do believe it is worth the wait, but theres a little work left to do.
Meanwhile, heavy sigh! I have gone back to version 1. :'(
