    Testing it right now.
First impressions are great. Looks are the same as the firewall.
Only antispam and antimalware ( anti virus) are included.

I´ve tried it once again, and I can now for certain say that I will never use Outpost again, it slows the system down considerably plus I don´t really like the GUI. It does however has a couple of interesting features (anti leaktest), I would like to see this in other firewalls/HIPS. ;)

i tested the Outpost Security Suite Pro Public Beta-Release 5.0.1184.611.16
great firewall run smoother then the previous one's

i tested all the leak test given in http://www.firewallleaktester.com/ and its passes all of them very smoothely

even in defult mode which is very impresive

Outpost 5.0 is much quicker in responce then that of previouse one version 4.0

nice antivirus and antitrojan its works fine

yea there are some great site for testing perpose

    http://freeweb.siol.net/razor256/www/

if you combine it with HIPS standboxes (PS or SSM) + good hardware firewall/routher
    its give you reasonable security

outpost only lack in HIPS standboxes if you add any other is give you good results

The AntiMalware plugin in Outpost Security Suite is using an Agnitum-developed scanning engine with signatures licenced from VirusBuster (plus a few more supplied by Agnitum themselves). The new engine means that it may perform differently from VirusBuster, but it won't be possible to tell what (if any) improvements it offers until a mainstream AV review site can test it.

The anti-malware plug-in in the suite is a combination of AV+AS. As Paranoid2000 has indicated, both the AV and the AS engines are developed by Agnitum.

Its a bit better than Rising AV at the moment, expect detection rates in the 70-77% if put in AV-comparatives' tests.

The VirusBuster engine, like Sophos, also detects many packed files as "Packed/<packer name>". Its unpack engine is quite poor and I wouldn't recommend it at this moment. PC Tools AntiVirus uses the same engine (though slightly custom modified I think), and PC Tools itself doesn't have a good detection rate. I hope Agnitum was able to improve the engine in these areas, because it would be really bad to see a "Mal/Packer" type detection coming from Outpost SS.

[Merged]Outpost Security Suite BETA and NOD32

Please could anyone run a quick test and confirm something for me?

If you are trying the new Outpost Security Suite Beta, please could you either run an NOD32 deep scan, or even better a scan by RootKit Revealer...

I will be very interested to see if your results are the same as mine.

    Thank you,

    nippauls
