Should I buy the lifetime licence? It's an irresistible offer but I have a dozen of other AV licences. What should I do ... :'(

Try it, if you like it buy it, if you don't like it then don't buy it.

    The AV is quite ordinary...
The strenght in Outpost is the FW.

I really like it but it's too heavy for old systems. Furthermore I haven't seen any AV tests, I guess the AV engine is just mediocre. :doubt:

I think it is tested only at VirusBulletin.

Matousec have been testing Outpost for some time now.

Great results in Matousec and VirusBulletin, I think Outpost could be great for my other notebook with i5 cpu. :D

Does anyone know if I can just install the firewall from the free suite or does the anti virus have to be included??

Thanks Joe I kinda figured that but thought I would ask. Am interested in the firewall to try but according to many here the anti virus is less than desired. I had used their firewall a number of years back and was pleased.

I may be wrong but I think that if during install it detects another AV or FW it gives you the choice of components to install.
Maybe it's been a while so I'm not sure.

Looks like I'm going to have to find out and report back!!! I should be able to stop the install or do the modified one if I get these choices...

Are there really no updates for the free Outpost Security Suite? Is it true that it only supports Win 7? What about Win 8 or Win 8.1? o_O
